£150k from Leeds if they go up

Reported in the Argus today, probably old news now (yeah yeah fixtures etc) but £150k will be paid to us by Leeds if they go up.

So although it would be fun to see Watford in the Premiership...I've got to say COME ON YOU LEEDS!

still sounds like a shocking deal.

i dont think it really matters how big a club is. they do not deserve to be in the premiership unless they earn it. here leeds have the chance to earn it. notts forest and sheff weds do not deserve to be in the premeirship even though they are big club.


despite all that rubbish, come on leeds get promotion and show us the money.

It might *seem* shocking on face value but it actually stopped Leeds going into liquidation at the time.

It was part of the Viduka move to Middlesborough and getting him off the wage bill when we were going under. If we go up and get the £32m, £1.8m is but a small price to pay for keeping our club alive.

If we don't go up we still have a club but owe them nada.

I heard the Leeds city PHONE SYSTEM went down when the tickets went on sale as 100,000 people phoned up in the first HOUR.

Nice touch by the chairmen that the gate receipts will all be given to the losers.
