Man Utd have bought that Cristiano Ronaldo bloke for that price....Imagine if he turns out crap :D or breaks a leg and ruins his career :D or gets loaned out to us after a disappointing first season :D

But I thought Postiga was the "Big Thing" in the Portugese league last season.

Looks like ManUre have been forced to pay over the odds because everyone knows they are desperate to try and sign someone.

He needs to be good as that half of the Beckham money gone on this kid.

From what i've seen of him pre-season hes almost as good as Beckham already, i think they have a bargin for the future there !!!

this may prove to be a good bit of business, but actually I suspect that this is a realtively cheap way to (a) buy the fans' satisfaction in the medium-term at least, and (b) a way to shore up business confidence in the ManUre 'product' in the face of Chelsea's big-spending.

ronaldo is better than postiga for the simple fact that he can play anywhere in midfield or up front. its like having a cross between viana, postiga, a right winger and then making him only 18!!

Much easier to look impressive in pre-season. Let's see what he's got when the real games start.

I'm hoping that your response doesn't apply to Crabbers' original post.

Wishing ill of Man Ure is one thing (and totally justified of course) but hoping that someone's career is ruined is something completely different. Even Dwayne wouldn't stoop that low.

absolutely. just cuz the poor buggar is either so stupid or so badly-advised as to sign for Fergie's Friendless Fools, shouldn't mean we wish him ill. The club, yes - but not the man. Unless his name is Keane, of course.
