Was living in India at the time. Listened to the radio commentary via a knackered dial up Internet connection. The extra time meant that it must have been getting on for 03:00 by the time it all played out. I tried hard not to wake up the rest of the house when Virgs got the equaliser.

I was at university at the time and watched it in a pub in York. I managed to convince everyone else in the pub to support Brighton in the penalty shootout.
The look of utter, utter disbelief on that guy's face really is incredible.
