actually, I just listened to The Wedding Present 'Suck' and the cover is not spanking it in any way.

Great shout. I remember seeing The Twilight Sad supporting Gogol Bordello at The Dome a couple of years back, thought they were great.

My shout is another Kate Bush song. I love her to bits, but this is better:

Hope this works - Joe Cocker - With a little help from my friends.

Much though I love the Beatles, but this is very, very different to the original.

PS - not the clip I intended, but it is pretty true to the original.

I also liked Joe Cocker's version of The Lovin' Spoonful's "Summer in the City", the Tom Jones version of 'You Can Leave Your Hat On'.

The film Across the Universe is a beatle musical that covers a lot of their songs and I like most of the versions, not sure I'd say they spanked them.
'Over and Done with' in Sunhine on Leith is a really good version of the Proclaimers song.

Oh, come on, people. This is NSC. Why does it take until the second page for:

I was waiting for this one to crop up! A fantastic cover, Reznor himself admitted that the song 'no longer belongs to him'.

However, when NIN close their live set with Hurt it is usually stunning.
