Easy to think this is all miles away, but brought a little bit home tonight.
Many people from that area of the world work in our National Health Service. I know they do in Brighton for instance and many do in London.
I was in hospital tonight in London with a relative and got chatting to a nurse. Fortunately his family are safe (in a relatively unaffected area) but another nurse on the ward went home to visit before the storm and hasn't been in contact since. They fear the worse but are praying they have simply been unable to phone.
