Basic maths. We had to spend up to £5m - so what's 2% of that?How much did Palace have to spend
new floodlights, TV studios, media facilities and a whole range of other things... just to meet Premier League standards.
Source? Sky certainly seem to think our current state-of-the-art plug'n'play TV facilities are the Best Thing Ever, judging by the number of Friday evenings they seem to like spending down here. Or maybe they've just been here for the nightlife?
Paul Barber - Sky Sports News interview about an hour ago.
Apparently Sky have mandated 2 studios - one at each end - for next season onwards. God knows why.
each Club shall provide at each League Match played at its
Stadium at least two Hardwired studios for the use of Broadcasters and each such
studio shall:
- measure at least five metres by five metres;
- be at least three metres high; and
- have a window which is at least three metres wide (or, if constructed after 1 August 2014, 4.5 metres wide) by 1.5 metres high and which gives a full and clear view of the whole pitch.
Guidance
With regard to the studio window, ideally the bottom of the window should be 50cm from the floor and the top of the window should be two metres from the floor.
Crikey those requirements have moved on a bit from the old scaffold tower they used to put up on the old East Stand !
..... out of the £169m+, mere petty cash for the club this morning!
