I have no shame in trying, once again, to plug our affiliate arrangement with Amazon. At this time of year, for obvious reasons, affiliate income can be relatively lucrative for NSC and makes a big contribution to funding the board for the remainder of the year.

To try and entice NSCers further, I'd like to make the following offer:

If you make a/some purchases from Amazon via our links, post the details on this thread. I have access to a reporting suite that shows all purchases made via NSC and I will use that to verify your purchase(s).

For every ratified purchase made during November or December that you list, you will be entered into a draw I will make at the beginning of January. The prize will be 10% of NSC's affiliate earnings during that period.

As a guide, NSC earns c6% of most purchases made and thus far in November NSC has earned £119, and that doesn't include the 48 items bought yesterday (as Amazon credit the account upon despatch of an item). December tends to be busier than November.

I would estimate the prize to the winner would be c£30-£40.

Bozza, love to know the answer to this too. Can a build up of goods in ones basket then be purchased through the NSC link-up and still be relevant to the tie-in we have?

I'm afraid I'm not sure if Amazon 'tag' a purchase as coming from NSC when you place it in your basket via an original NSC link, or when you make the final purchase. However, if you go through NSC when you put items in your basket AND do the same when you complete the purchase I don't see how Amazon could not credit the purchase to NSC.

Just checked Amazon's terms - it sounds like each item you add to your basket having gone through NSC will credit to NSC as long as you complete the purchase within 90 days.

You earn referral fees on any qualifying items placed in a customer's Shopping Cart within 24 hours of their arrival at Amazon.co.uk via your Associates link. However, this 24-hour window closes once the customer submits his order or reenters Amazon.co.uk through another Associate's link. Once the window is closed, you will not earn referral fees on any subsequent purchases. However, if the customer then returns to Amazon.co.uk through one of your Associates links, this opens a new 24-hour window.
It is of course possible that a customer may arrive at Amazon.co.uk via your Associates link, add an item to his Shopping Cart, and then leave Amazon.co.uk without placing an order. As long as the item was added to the customer's Shopping Cart during this 24-hour window, you will still earn a referral fee if the order is placed before the Shopping Cart expires (usually after 90 days).
