I just find it hard to believe that we can't get at least a couple of sides that people would want to watch. Also at home might be nice in these hard times....

Am I off mark?

The difficulty is that Russell had his hands full with keeping us up, and arranging pre-season only became part of his remit after the end of the season, by which time a lot of clubs have their pre-season arrangements sorted.
