They've confirmed that he won't be in charge next season and are apparently in discusssions with former Atletico Madrid manager Quique Sanchez Flores.

Seems a bit harsh after Jokanovic got them promoted - perhaps there were off-field issues of some kind.

What IS going on?! Jokanovic, McClaren, Allardyce, Ancelotti, Warburton... All managers who've done a great job being let go. TO think we fought tooth and nail to keep Hyypia when other clubs are giving good managers away!

If only we gave nathan jones the rest of the season, we would of either got a hidden gem, or had a very good choice of managers that like to play football.
As it is , were stuck with boring boring hughton.

Unless of couse, we tear up the league next season playing pacey attractive football . In which case il be the first to apoligise.

Or, we could also have got relegated. Who knows?

Yes, but we could have also got relegated. Two games does not mean he's a superhero in the making.

If we were top with twelve games to go and finished outside the play offs can you imagine the melt down on here IMO McClaren royally ****ed thing up.

Slightly harsh I think, he managed to get them to the top and then had major injury problems. Not saying I'd be happy either but I think sacking was harsh IF it was based on performances

I certainly agree to go from 1st to 8th in 12 games is an impressive feat, but losing Martin was a massive blow to them. Just look how awful we've been since Ulloa left. I mean I know it's not 100% the same, but losing a top, top striker has a vast impact on a teams' performances, especially if that player is integral to the way a team sets up.

I'd definitely be unhappy, but there were extenuating circumstances,

Agreed.
Look at Liverpool for starters.

Still had Ince and Jesse two quality players at this level. But I do agree Baldock was starting to find his form for us shame he got injured.
