Who's that man from Argentina?
Who's that man we all adore?
Leonardo is his name and he scores a goal a game and we won't mention Mur. OHHHHHH wait. :wozza:

Could always change it to this

Who's that man from scummy palace who's that man we don't adore Glenn Murray is his name and he scores a goal a game and we don't mention ulloa anymore

I always found that song amusing. Saying that we would never mention Murray anymore, but as a result of its repeated discourse continued to do so.

A replacement will want far more money than Leo is on. Take at least a million off the transfer fee for that alone, then there is the signing on fee etc. How about a new contract for Leo ?

What is so wrong with Tony telling Leicester that if they want Ulloa they will have to be PATIENT and wait until we have a manager in place and have signed at least one more striker ourselves.

If they can't wait then perhaps just get lost ???

We could have list as long as gibbons arm, it means jack if we can't afford any of them or can't entice any of them to join us like we failed with grabbon. Come on we don't event have a manager, and what message does it send when we accept an offer for our best striker whilst trying to attract a manager.

All true. Our list will be of people we should be able to afford though, bar last minute changes of plan/increased offers elsewhere. Another reason not to sell him.

Brighton factually.....
Got to take 7m if true - we can really strengthen the squad with that - get 3 top players in with 7m

Three top players for 7m......

What planet are you living on ?

Maybe, just maybe We could entice an ageing top player on a free and we would have to set that 7m aside to pay them and them alone.

Which is why I always sing 'won't miss Murray anymore'.

7m is a good bid, but be honest. Who has any confidence in Burke to find the adequate replacements which will be needed, not if January is anything to go by. We would be left with CMS and would need 2 strikers, finding one has seemed to be hard enough.

If the new manager is going to play one up front I would sell Leo, he doesn't seem to like being a lone striker, always frustrated at not getting decisions, not enough pace, so £7m would be a great return. If the new manager goes for two up top I would love to see him stay, I don't think oscar played to Leo's strengths, which is why he looked so frustrated. Having said that I don't think you can question his love of the fans after the Forest and Derby games, at Derby he fought through the crowd invasion to applaud the fans

There are only so many players around of his quality. However, there is now more money around. The combination of the two, mean that a £2m replacement player last year will now cost considerably more.

We need to keep Ulloa. Finding him took 2/3 years and a £7m selling fee will look small beer, if we cannot adequately replace him.

If we sell Ulloa, we are saddling the new manager with a mid-table season at best. We have to hold the line here, it took us ages to replace Murray - we will not lose out because Ulloa's value is not going to decline - but he has a massive job to do here before we cash in - exactly the same situation as when we refused to let Elliott Bennett leave before he got us into the Championship.
