Well who is the better player then? When we signed Thomson it was supposed to be as a replacement for Hammond, but he has subsequenbtly turned out to be absoloute toilet. I know who I'd rather see wearing the stripes!

I agree...........but it,s down to our Manager Dick Knights judgement who is the better player.

No it's not. It was Dick's decision to sell Hammond, but I doubt he recommended Thomson. That blame must lie with Barry Lloyd.

No player comes to this club without manager Dick Knights approval.

In terms of wages, correct. I didn't think that what he thought of the pkayer came into it. I always thought that he just trusted his manager.

Whatever people say Hammond was a good player. Way better than anything we have in the centre.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Dick Knight has far too much say so as to whether a player is worth anything.

Two seasons ago, Hammond. But Hammond lost his way and Thomson looks the better player from what I've seen.

How has Thomson been toilet? He's often the unsung hero, making tackles and keeping the ball - thats his job. I would still agree that Hammonds the better player though.

Thomson was signed to play alongside and compliment Hammond, I thought. Thomson was going to have the holding role & Hammond the attacking role. Trouble is, Hammond went & we never replaced him with an attacking central midfielder. Everyone who has played with him (with the exception of Racon) has been a defensive player as well (El-Abd, Fraser, Livermore, Virgo). Now he's being asked to play the attacking role for the first time in his career & I don't think he's up to doing it. Certainly, he doesn't have the physical attributes of Hammond, or Paul Rogers, or Junior Lewis, to maraude into the box like they did, and he doesn't have the creative ability we're crying out for.

I haven't seen him play well once yet. He has never scored, never created anything or done anything of note ever. Can you name one notableperformance that he has put in?
