[Albion] Did we try to get Viktor Gyokeres back?

The club's tweet confirming the sale of Gyokeres to Coventry attracted 22 replies. I know we weren't massive then but that doesn't really suggest that very many supporters saw it as a huge mistake by the club. (I realise that not everyone is on Twitter/X...)

[Albion] So, 3 PL games in, are we a real threat?

I think we are a threat to the top 4. No European football is a huge advantage in terms of the league this season, especially with the new formats.

    Same here on all counts.

2 more years. There might be interest from elsewhere perhaps?

It actually always was for that!

[Albion] The Great Albion Midfield Rebuild - Summer ‘24 edition

Agreed. Even if it is decided that he is no longer a fit for us he most certainly would be elsewhere and I'd have thought the fee should be north of £20m.

[Football] Minteh - This worries me

Need to sign a few slow, rubbish ones really.

[Football] Who do you want to be England manager?

Can't see Klopp being interested. It'll be Potter. Probably the best of the realistic options too.

[Technology] Out of contract with Sky - Tips ?

Had the dubious pleasure of the dance with Sky yesterday as 'discounts' are due to come off and the new price would be £180 per month without them for (2 boxes) Sky Signature, Sky Sports, Netflix, BB and SkyTalk. They said 'best price' was £117 which I said was more than I was prepared to...

    [Albion] RDZ out or In

In for me, assuming he wants to be. The rest of the season won't change that either unless something significant happens (megaflounce etc.)

[Albion] The OFFICIAL what’s gone wrong with our season thread

Injuries, mainly. You can make up for a loss of form in individual players to an extent by using the squad but not when you don't have similarly capable replacements fit and available. There might be internal issues but that is guesswork so the tangible reason is injuries and the added burden...

[Football] This 'yellow card' rule, did you know it?

Was unaware myself. I now wonder that if a keeper was sent off for collecting 2 cards during the shoot out (unlikely but....) what happens then?

[Albion] Are YOU falling out of love with Roberto De Zerbi?

If you'll forgive the slight aftertiming this was always going to be a tougher season in the league. I personally felt we had a decent chance in the Europa League and am disappointed about how that ended but the injuries we have had made even competing on one front tricky. If I have any...

I don't think they use cryogenics or anything if that helps.

[Albion] Is the squad stronger than last season ?

The interest in Kudus is obviously genuine. Loads of clubs linked now also so might be difficult but would suggest we feel there is room for someone to come in. As has been mentioned much will also depend on whether Moises stays or goes.

[Albion] Is the squad stronger than last season ?

Agreed, Caicedo is very much the key to this. Almost a season under RDZ makes plenty of our players much better than they were beforehand as well so that also improves the squad organically. It's a process isn't it.

    [Albion] Levi Colwill

No he didn't. Playing for Brighton in the Premier League was obviously a huge step up from anything he had previously done in his career. It's due to that loan spell that Chelsea are now prepared to name him in the squad rather than sign 3 central defenders like they did last season.
