I quite like it for a bit of escapism. And it's a nice touch the way they splice in real footage.
Mrs Bulb likes it and she's been fairly silent whilst watching. No interruptions, no questions, no having to explain anything. For that alone it gets a thumbs up from me!! (y)(y)
I've got an office in Bangkok so I'm there 4 or 5 Tims a year. Can't say I love the place tbh, especially the sleazier side of things. But each to their own I guess.
There is a very good speakeasy culture amongst the bars though. I recommend:
Iron Fairies (they always have fairly good live...
They're close defensively. Going forward Caicedo had lovely link play; especially little flicks 'round the corner', and threading balls through the 'eye-of-a-needle'.
Beleba (IMO) still tries run the ball too often and gets caught in possession.
And Beleba makes Caicedo look like Ronaldo when...
RDZ was great all the while teams didn't know how to play against us. Once they figured out all it took was a low-block we became a much easier team to play against.
We already know FH has a plan B (and a plan C), so that's already an upgrade on RDZ.
We'll find out how good FH really is later...
I wouldn't be surprised if at some point City come knocking for JPVH. Pep's 'rant' struck me as less 'sour-grapes' and more 'see how I could help improve your game'.
Psychological shrewdness perhaps.
We won’t become the next Chelsea. After the summer spending spree I think the plan will be to stick with who we have and consolidate for the next few windows.
So unless a youth team member breaks-through, the squad as a whole is probably the right size given we might in Europe next year…
Oh...
TBH, and (possibly controversially), I quite liked the philosophy Hyppia had. He played wingbacks a good press and passed out from the back. The problem he had was that we didn't have the squad to be able to play the way he wanted and he had no Plan B.
I've often wondered if he was just too...
I like Evan, but his strengths are more Glen Murray than Bobby Z... He likes receiving the ball to lay off, turn his man and shoot or sniff around in the penalty area.
What he isn't going to do is beat a man on a quick break, or jink past his man on a silky run. Sadly, I don't see how our style...
We’re very, very lucky not to be significantly behind. Absolute smash and grab.
What worries me is that we look tactically clueless in the middle of the park.
I just don’t get why we constantly want to hang onto the ball and dribble past everyone.
Kadioglu, Ferguson and Hinshelwood look lost...
I used to work in theatre and events and often we'd have to work 48+ hours straight. The trick was to take 1 an hour, every hour through the night(s).
Kept me awake and full of energy. Absolutely screwed my stomach up and not a chance in hell I'd ever touch them again.
Under RDZ we seemed to have heavily drilled positional play, especially through midfield that created lots of passing triangles that were very easy on the eye. RZB wanted us to draw the press and play late passes (often through the eye of a needle). It's why Caicedo and Ali Mac did so well...
I don’t understand why we keep trying to run the ball. Surely this system should be about short 1 touch passes.
All I see is our midfield constantly trying to turn their man and run past them.
Would be interested to see if the ‘drivble with ball’ stats match my opinion. Would assume the ‘runs...
The scuba diving off the west coast of KSA is supposed to be exceptional and there are a few scuba schools on the Gulf of Aqaba (bang opposite Sharm El Sheikh). The other advantage of scuba trips is that you can't hear your misses moan when 20metres under water...
If you've not been to Jeddah...
