JFA seems to be very concerned about Mitoma's workloads. Hope there's a resolution.

Kaoru Mitoma has been withdrawn from Samurai Blue due to injury. Hope they are only pretending.

> We regret to announce that Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton and Hove Albion FC) has been forced to withdraw from the team for the FIFA...
Kaoru and Pascal were really knackered. Playing full minutes in two games in a row within essentially three days. If only that last shoot by Buonanotte went in ... that would have been a great reward for them.
It appears that Kaoru Mitoma is not participating in Japan NT for the coming international friendries against Canada and Tunisa due to bad health conditions. Presumably not serious issues but fatigue? Good for him finally getting some rest.
I was really worried when I saw Pervis starting the Chelsea game ... I thought that game was less important, so RDZ may rest Pervis to keep him fresh for the Villa away.
I actually do not think RDZ is good at squad rotation. The first occation I doubted RDZ's decision was the Forest away last...
Thought he did OK but he seems to be (understandably) not ready to start in the PL, especially in the midfield against Villa at the Villa Park... If he was to start it should've been against Chelsea in the cup game imo.
It appears that they have only one proper CB fit for Thursday. Also, several key players are either missing or just recovered from injury. Maybe good for us as long as points are concerned, but hope they were in perfect form.

Agreed Gross 10. He was brilliant all the game. Also, the game highlighted how important Estupinan is for Mitoma. Thought the left-hand side was less effective, especially in the first half.
