Angels looking good so far this year, but I'm a little conflicted. I'm more of a Shohei fan than an Angel fan, and I'm a little worried that if the Angels do well this year he'll be too loyal to switch teams, and then be stuck on a perennial loser the rest of his career.

I must not have a very good grasp of the English language, because this entire thread sounds exactly like "pissed off we didn't win" to me :)

Just chiming in to say that I'm Chinese American, but since there aren't any good Chinese soccer players, when I found out about Mitoma I jumped on the bandwagon. I haven't really watched much soccer over the years (much more of a baseball fan), but Mitoma has got me watching a lot more this season.

Shohei is the best baseball player in the world currently, on pure talent. Ichiro was great, but not "no one in the history of baseball has ever done the things he's doing" great. Shohei doesn't have the longevity of Ichiro yet, obviously, but I think what we're seeing with Shohei is the best...
