Had Sky Q for several years and never had their broadband, and its always worked fine.
I think if you have Sky broadband the mini boxes act as wifi hotspots so you dont get that functionality, but for the TV services everything works well.

Just watched the first 3 episodes of this, and it reminds me very my of Fortitude, that had 2 or 3 seasons on Sky a few years back - all set north of the arctic circle with some strange deaths and hints towards supernatural phenomenon. I'll stick with it but dont think its a patch on seasons 1...
