We had our first snowfall of the season in Austria last night. Although we had some snow at village level (700m), everything below 1,000m had melted by lunchtime, but the top of the local mountain is still white. It's going to be cold for the next week, with more significant snow in 5 or 6 days...
I like Milner, but I'm not sure he'll ever get another game for Brighton. Hinshelwood, Ayari, Baleba, probably O'Riley and possibly Wieffer will be ahead of him for the two midfield roles.
If the Government had actually controlled immigration I might agree with you. For years the target has been under a 100,000 of nett migration per year, while the official figures have been 3 times that (and over 600,000 last year). The 25,000 or so that arrive each year by small boat, while it...

Brighton player touches a Liverpool player with his hand - free kick to Liverpool. Sala spent the second half holding off Pervis with his hand - always a free kick to Liverpool.
Since 1966 Germany, Spain, Italy and France have all won at least 4 WC or Euros. So losing a couple of finals doesn't compare very well. (But I'm Scottish, so I don't really have a leg to stand on.)
I remember watching a Scottish 1st division game when I was a lad. The substitute (note, not one of the substitutes but THE substitute) chain-smoked his way through the game. Changed times.
Too young. I was a student at St Andrews when he was president of the Federation of Nationalist Students. He was often found in the union bar (as was I) - he was good company and good to discuss/argue a point with. He was a conviction politician, not one of today's Oxbridge PPE rentamob.
