[Albion] A bit of disappointment yesterday

This is going to happen for a few years yet. Remember we’re only 10 or so years into having to fill a 30k stadium, a lot of the adults will support other teams but the kids will end up as Brighton fans. I went yesterday with a Wednesday and Spurs fan and their kids as well as mine. The kids will...

[Albion] A bit of disappointment yesterday

If I read it I would agree. However seeing it first hand, the family were very well spoken and just one look at them and anyone could tell there was no problem here whatsoever. I think in the first instance there's been an absolute jobsworth somewhere and from there on in nobody can back down...

[Albion] A bit of disappointment yesterday

The six year old looked particularly shifty, I think they were being used as mules to get all the proper gear in knowing they wouldn't be searched.

[Albion] A bit of disappointment yesterday

It was an odd one I agree and I didn't get into the nuts and bolts of how they came about having one! However, there were plenty of City fans dotted about in the ground yesterday, spending probably the best part of 150 quid on club merchandise to try and blend in would seem a bit excessive

[Albion] A bit of disappointment yesterday

For me at least, quite possible nobody else will care! I had to go to the ticket office before the game, in front of me was a family and the man at the front was getting quite irate. A bit of presumption here but I guess the man was the grandfather or father of the two kids who were 6 & 9...

[Albion] How many times have you seen us beat City?

Three for me I think, yesterday Covid and Keith Cuss. I’d long since given up on Withdean for the league cup win!

[Albion] How many times have you seen us beat City?

It’s absolutely glorious that if you mention the Keith Cuss game, a game played over 35 years ago most notable for a 41 year old man doing a back header, and everyone could tell you the opponent, score and wether they were there.

    [Albion] Leicester City (A) - Sun 8th Dec 14:00

Why are these £31? I thought away tickets were capped?

My junior team start indoor league next month and I'm dreading it to be honest, my son played up a year last winter and the scoring is absolutely bewildering.

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2024/25 Edition

Last couple of seasons I've really got into going to Hassocks, even been to a few away games as well. When the train queues and extortionate prices finally get the better of me I'll be there every week home and away! They're absolutely flying at the moment which considering they pay absolutely...

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2024/25 Edition

Anywhere to be honest! But to actually travel to a game rather than wander down the park I guess it would have to at least be an SCFL side although the Mid Sussex Premier is way stronger than SCFL Division 2 nowadays. There's some absolute rubbish at the bottom of SCFL 2 but they do tend to...

    [Football] The Championship.

A few years ago maybe. Championship games used to be better than most Premier League games but the quality has dropped of a cliff recently, some absolutely dreadful games last season.

All 3 title contenders in the Premier League lost on Saturday! Maybe just lets Middleton in? Still think it'll be Preston Nomads though as long as Sussex don't take too many of their stars. A bit further down Bexhill have been making headlines with some absolutely massive wins (beat...

This season I've taken on one of Preston Nomads junior teams. It's an incredible place to be involved with, a very special setting, and hanging around to watch the first XI play after our games is a bit of a treat. They are some team this season.

Many years ago I used to play village cricket for Ashburnham and Laughton always used to be our toughest game of the season, one year I broke my nose over there running into a 12 year old boy's elbow after neither of us called for a catch :ROFLMAO: Village cricket out that way seems to be on...

    [Albion] Lallana On Brighton Departure

No he wasn't. I didn't get the love in on the last day either, the guys had millions out of the club and contributed very little. I'm actually amazed at 95 appearances, wonder how many of those were less than 10 minutes.

[NSC] NSC has changed for the wurst

There needs to be a separate forum for July 2003 members! I don't really notice any difference to be honest, if anything this is the one remaining decent online place to come and get an opinion or two compared to the absolute cess pit that is social media. There's been idiots come and go on...

[Brighton] Travellers in Preston Park again (now in Waterhall)...

To suggest there isn't a different way of policing travellers as opposed to other people is absolute nonsense. We recently had a bit of plant stolen, the local post office cctv captured it being driven past, followed by a transit pick up before turning into the local site. Absolutely no...

Val Thorens. Couldn’t sleep one night and went for a walk round when the clubs were kicking out, it was pretty awful.

[Misc] Worst holiday you’ve ever been on

Going Skiing without actually Skiing. After the initial amazement at how stunning the scenery was, it soon became the longest week in history for those of us that weren't skiing. Criminally overpriced food and drink, a magnet for coked up nobheads wanting to fight once the sun goes down and the...
