A mate of mine once went into a petrol station and found someone arguing with the bloke behind the till. His complaint was that it cost 20p to fill up your tyres, but it used to be free. 'That's inflation!' offered my friend. Not a glimmer of a smile from either of them.
Its the details that give this stuff away. He's not happy with his game time at Brighton and wants to go to another EPL team it reports. Okay, so if Tony's going to want a conservative £50m+ for Evan, which clubs will be spending that for an U21 player in a January transfer window? Only one...
We'll need everyone over the season and I'd be confident in all of them, but for me, if everyone is completely fit and there's no other factors, Dunk is still the first name on the team sheet. Yes, defending, leadership, organisation, range of passing, threat from set pieces, but actually for...
These lazy journalists drive me up the wall. Every year we get this tosh.
Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Palace, Fulham, Southampton, Tottenham & West Ham are all closer to Brighton than is Bournemouth. Ipswich is only 15 minutes longer to drive from Brighton! Yet year after year, everything...
For 45 of them he sat on the bench. If he manages one goal every 45 minutes for us over the rest of the season, I'd put up with it.

Is the rest of Ireland flipping too? Or are we on for a ferry to Rosslare?
And if we switch to the West, does I 'ave to staaart grizzlin' baaat grockles?
At the moment the best we can hope for is a reduction in the downhill acceleration. That's what the Americans failed to understand..
The ones on top are comfortable. They're sitting on a human chain. All aboard!
Somebody on Andy Zaltzman's 'The Bugle' said this week that Trump is filling his cabinet with people who can use the phrase 'See you in Hell' not as a threat, but to make plans to meet up later.
He said nice things about us and Bloom when Naylor interviewed him last year: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/4189739/2023/02/17/micky-adams-brighton-fulham/
Both of Micky's periods precede Bloom becoming chairman, so I would be surprised. If I recall correctly, they spoke of the difficulty of retaining good managers whilst at Withdean and mentioned Micky, along with Peter Taylor and Coppell.
A "documentary" is just a non-fiction film. The definition says nothing about funding or author p.o.v. You could argue that it's funding model means that it can't be an independent reflection of objective reality, but that's an argument you can make about any non fiction piece to some degree...
Beadle did play against Spain today. Seems like he did very well: 1:10 into the video for his 'superb save'.
