I find if your delivery comes from a dedicated "ghost" store/warehouse, 99% of the time there are no substitutions or replacements, in my case Tesco.
If I chose Sainsbury's it comes from the store down the road and is more subject to issues
Take a look at Long Island City, I stayed there last September. As long as you are near a subway station , Manhattan is 15 minutes away.

On a personal level, I have been with both. They were fine until you needed to contact them with an issue.
Border Force going on strike wont affect people departing the UK as we dont do immigration checks when leaving the country, so you will at least get away ok.
Coming back however....
There's a few knocking about with Tarom (Romanian national airline), does the daily Heathrow flight. Flew on one in May, inside was like an A319/A320 really, just less rows. However being replaced soon I think.
