[Albion] Tony Bloom Is Having A W*nk

Usual moaning idiots posting on this thread and indeed on the many others re atmosphere or player chants. It isn’t solely the preserve of the unofficial singing section to invent chants - though based upon some of the frankly bizarre, non-rhyming and niche shouts put forward by the...

[Albion] Florin Andone joins Cadiz on one season loan

A very strange move if that journalist is to be believed. The 3rd tier of Spanish football is newly-formed / re-structured this year but would think Andone was comfortably above that level - even with rarely any first team football in the best part of 15/18 months.

    [Albion] Class fans getting recognised…

Focus on your own fans behaviour will you. Constant "flappy hands" and gesticulating from the lot behind the goal. I felt embarrassed for you on Saturday, imagine working inside or being inside the stadium as an ethnic-minority and hearing large swathes of your local community boo an...

[Albion] Not long to go before kick off - Where is your Albion Mojo?

Burnley (A) & Watford (H) - an 8 - because it is the return of full stadiums, days out with mates etc etc Beyond that - a 4 - Potter's press conference this afternoon provided a depressing realisation that it is unlikely we will be making the one key signing that we need in a Striker, as that...

[Albion] The Albion's Covid Pass Check THE POLL. Yes or No?

Voted yes, not completely clear cut. Given my age I continue to await my 2nd jab later this week; so will have to do a LFT for Watford, which is a faff.. Post 2-jabs; no qualms.

[Misc] CAZOO Buy a car online.

Bought with Cazoo last summer. Service was spot on with car being delivered to door, full run through of specifications and everything was as described. A far better experience than dealing with garages or private sellers trying to have you over given half a chance…

[Albion] Which Priority Group have you got for Man City?

Tier 4 again; never gone any better than Tier 3. Thought that with a near quadrupling in capacity I might be in with a shout this time. Sour grapes et al; but pre-Covid times I was comfortably in the top c1,500 match-going fans / top away-priority bracket, so the purely random nature of the...

    [Albion] Potter In or Out?

In the Xmas period slump I had moved into the out camp as had not felt we had seen any evidence of progress. The performances from Wolves 2nd half onwards have been better but without the outcome required. A new manager is not likely to achieve more with this current squad. I cannot imagine...

    [Football] Stadium Bucketlist

Two elusive ones for me in the UK - Sheffield Utd & Swansea; have always seemed to fall on awkward weekends / mid-weeks in the previous years. If we are back in stadiums for next year, fingers crossed at least one of them can be ticked off (now I have said this it is bound to be a mid-week in...

[Albion] How are young signings like Moises looked after by Brighton?

Very similar role to myself. Possible the most disappointing thing is how frequently targeted by agents / fake-friends / hangers on these individuals are. Thankfully the liason officers are on hand to help assimilate these players

[Finance] I'm never going to buy my own house am I?

How did you determine 27 years is the maximum term if you are 42 years of age? Some lenders will lend until you are 75 if it is credible that your profession would allow (ie office based as opposed to say a labourer). Help to Buy scheme or now a lifetime ISA is valid on a first property...

[Albion] Potter IN or OUT - 10 January poll

Obviously that Howler is not down to him. But the horrific display for 75+ minutes before then and numerous dreadful performances before are down to him. Paying up his wages is a fraction of the reward for staying up; and we will not stay up with him in charge.

    [Albion] Potter In or Out

Their goals were preventable, the Trossard decision was unfortunate, but we could then also analyse their miss in the last min, Zeqiri miss and so on...

[Albion] Dan Burn - Time Up

We have two better centre halves out on loan in the championship and a supposed £40m defender being shunted into midfield for him. Thought at the time a 3? year contract award last January was nuts - needs to be moved on.

    [Albion] Potter In or Out

Voted out, though think it is highly unlikely he will be going anywhere, any time soon. What does need to happen though is that we have to act early in the window and spend proper money on a striker. Fortunate to get back to 3-3 today against an weaker than usual Wolves side.

    [Albion] Potter out poll 29-12-2020

One home win in 2020 and even that was lucky - not acceptable. Get rid. The only possible way he can stay is if we spend BIG money on a striker, which will not happen. The starting XI was unfathomable and the sign of a manager who has very very little left to give.

    [Albion] Potter out poll 27-12-2020

Out still. Thrown away a lead twice to a poor team and two soft goals. Poor tactics, team selection and happy to lead us sleepwalking into a relegation berth. We will be in the bottom 3 come 3rd Jan...

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2021/22 Edition

With every Whyteleafe attack you sensed a goal would be looming. A very tough season shaping up for Burgess Hill, relegation back to the County League after nearly 20 years away would not be pleasant!

    [Travel] Holiday plans this summer?

Guess it is a balance of what level of risk each person is willing to take. For me, I am confirmed (confined!) to working from home until at least January ‘21 as is the Mrs. 2x train tickets no longer coming out so more disposable income and itchy fingers about being able to get out and see...
