It's odd, they know the key dates during the season well in advance. It cannot be that difficult to generate a sensible plan for fixtures to be announced and then stick to it
We have 3 CB's who have recently turned 30 and we don't want to be in a scenario in 3/4 years time where we are needing to develop their replacements all at the same time. Dunk is unlikely to be replaced as a regular for a couple of seasons but we cannot expect him to be captain marvel for ever
Very harsh, I think there would be 4/5 PL clubs that would have him and play him regularly. I was personally surprised at the decision to bring on Duffy when a Caicedo or Ferguson would've made more sense
It is nice having a squad that only a top side could poach from. We have no need to sell any of our players and can set appropriate values for any such negotiations meaning a fabulous deal for us or keeping an excellent player.
I'm very comfortable to see our best player sold each transfer...
A lot depends on the plans that Potter has for his attacking line. He has seemingly reverted to a back 4 defensively and playing a formation that allows 2 creative midfielders centrally, often Trossard & MacAllister. However, many top sides in the premier league play a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 both with...
Webster & Veltman cost very different transfer figures and are both very capable CB's. Undav could well be of similar potential, if not it seems odd that we would take him away from USG to sit on our bench when he could stay there and help them with their CL football
A fabulous arrangement that allows us to develop some players and gain them points for a work permit. USG also benefit from having better players in their squad, my only suprise is we haven't sent them 3/4 players each season.
I hope both clubs continue to grow in their levels of success and...
It's all about future proofing. We have a collection of CB's all at a similar age so we need to prepare for a time when they retire and we have a wealth of potential superstars waiting. Creating an opportunity to grow such a talent for our squad saves us £20m in recruitment costs or developing...
This is very true, his value to us and his ability and willingness to be utilised as and when required creates depth in the squad and helps things to remain harmonious
The decision may come down to where he will be in the pecking order in 12 months time, If he is likely to fall behind...
