A rather lovely breeze has just rolled in to Peacehaven along with significant cloud cover cooling things right down.
Lovely. Summer was nice while it lasted.
Was 31° in Peacehaven when I put the kids to bed at 7pm, cooled to a positively chilly 27° now. Apparently there is a 50% chance of rain at 7pm tomorrow, if that's the case I'm outside doing a naked dance.
Ahhh, Shi**yLink, those were the days. A mail order company I worked for used to use them despite all the issues, they only switched to DPD when CityLink went out of business.
Delivery companies are only as good as your local driver I find, for me DPD are one of the best and up until recently...
Seen them live a couple of times, got most of their albums yet rarely are they a go to type of band.
They come on in the car quite a bit but that's generally because I've listened to something else beginning with C and they are next up.
Just a smidge under £224k left to pay and just under a year left on a 5 year fixed term so I'm really looking forward to getting that remortgage sorted out.
My singular focus at the moment is clearing any debt that I have, rapidly clearing off a small loan I took out a couple of years ago...
This has nothing to do with drivers, RMT do not represent the driving grades, that is ASLEF.
RMT represent almost every other role on the railway, very few, if any, earn as much as a mainline driver would which are the wage numbers being pushed by those who lean more to the right of the...
£250 from a stealer for genuine replacements isn't a bad price at all, if I'm lucky I'll be able to get a pair of aftermarket replacements for mine for about half of that delivered and then I've got to fit them myself.
It could have been a particularly nasty pothole that did the damage which is...
The fact that you waited until I wasn't in Peacehaven to witness this is incredibly selfish. I suggest you do it again next week so I can see and hear it.
I absolutely want to go and see the TT but I have no hope to see an off, my most sincere hope is that I witness people racing right at the edge, not over it, and all returning safely.
I'd hazard a guess that if you ask anyone who races at the TT/Manx GP they know the risk and would say that the high risk adds to the reward. 5 in a year is high, but not all that uncommon unfortunately, having just read the Wikipedia entry on it the only year since 1937 when racing has occurred...
I picked the wrong week to drive from Sussex to Scotland.
Started the day with just under half a tank, 7 hours later I'm in Manchester for an over night stay and £119 lighter to brim the tank at Costco ready for the next leg to another Costco in Edinburgh to brim again, I'm hoping to get away...
