Fair enough but in some ways I’m more concerned with the politics of the statement than the subject.
I can’t decide whether he’s making obviously ridiculous claims because he’s too amateurish and naive to realise that he will have to backtrack, or he simply doesn’t care… and will say anything...
On Tuesday Keir Starmer insisted the UK would not sign up to any deal with the EU that involves “going back to the old rules.”
Concerning on so many levels. Apart from the fact that if he sticks to it then he won’t get anything at all from the EU he might as well pack up now…is it bravado or...
The minimum wage increases and increased NI contributions don’t come into effect until April. They haven’t happened yet. Inflation is increasing month on month, the Cost of Living Index is increasing month on month and economic growth is slowing. You cannot possibly think that this Government...
Small businesses with small profit margins will fold under the dual problems of increased taxation and less customer spending power in the short to medium term
I still see BS John from time to time, he is a manager in a retail shop in the same street as one of mine. You would simply not believe how John has turned that company around since he became manager!! Oh and the bloke who was there before??? Hopeless! …and don’t think for one minute John is...
Not just Albion fans and not really hyperbole
Im honestly still in shock from the budget, no joking.
Starmer and Reeves - honestly it’s mind blowing, I really am struggling for words sat here. It’s so bad I think in 18 months time they will both be gone.
Nobody’s paying the extra yet, it doesn’t come into force until April
One of the real heavy attacks is reducing the threshold to £5pa so basically all part time staff now employers pay £15 per £100
I spoke to one person who’s bills will increase £100k +
I think it is going to be absolutely...
She also said that the options open to businesses were to take a cut in profits, increase prices or reduce wage growth (for the very working people the budget supposedly protected)
Businesses have been heavily taxed, the supermarkets alone are saying that the costs due to the National Insurance changes will run into billions. Like all the big businesses and corporations They will either have to reduce costs or increase prices… so they will increase prices initially and...
I don’t think they have done it deliberately, I think that the immediate effect of the budget will result in high inflation unemployment and recession. Very very quickly
I don’t see it going two terms. Despite what many have said on here the budget was a spectacular disaster that will take effect reasonably quickly in political terms. High Inflation will almost certainly be the result of all the heavy taxing of businesses…. Inflationary price increases …...
Given a little more thought I do think that Lord Mandelson is the only Labour member with enough experience, knowledge and gravitas to lead negotiations, he is the very definition of a political heavyweight.
Apart from Yvette Cooper the Labour Party in the commons is extremely light on...
His arm was moving up towards the ball as I remember it…. Everyone is forever trying to defend with their hands behind their back for that very reason
But show me a clip I’m open to rethinking it👍
