Re: Re: Re: The sums dont add up Dick
I think the Insider is correct.....a million loss on gates of say 6500 ( june 2005 accounts)...the extra revenue less costs to capacity wont be a million ...so club loses money regardless of whether Withdean is sold out
Since when have we averaged a gate of 8850....your argument is instantly flawed...if you want to know the real position just download a set of the clubs accounts from the companies house website...I have and the last accounts show a trading loss of over 1 million and a balance sheet deficit of 6...
The last set of cost I remember (public enquiy I think) were roughly as follows:
Stadium build 28.9 m
land acquisition 5.3m
Infrastructure 4.4m
Contingencies 1.8m
Prof fees 3.6 m
Wilkins hands are no doubt tied by the clubs position ...but.....we seem short on a game plan ..ideas ..and an ability to make changes...he may be a good coach but is not cutting it as manager
No Falmer more than likely means no BHA.....unless there a large influx of new investment ...we have been losing approx a million a years in recent times
Its the cash up front that is important..it keeps the club afloat when there is no gate money
There are under 4000 STH and under 4000 floaters
If you look at the accounts you will see that gate receipts are no where near 4 million...2005 accounts disclose just under 2.5 miliion as gate receipts...
just look at the club accounts...6 million deficit ...so 1.5 million in advance of the new season keeps the club afloat.....I understand that not everyone can afford a season ticket.....no fan is better than another...but with no Season ticket holders the chances are there would be no club
