I certainly thought that the 'stuttered' run up had been banned- think it may be the case that the taker has to be constantly moving and cannot completely stop at any point during the run up.

I've tried the WD40 option with no joy so far. May take it down to the LBS and see what they can do even if it means a new seatpost.

Any advice on freeing a stuck seatpost? Seems like it was installed without any grease and is now stuck solid.

To be honest I just wanted to upgrade to a newer more expensive bike without forking out (excuse the pun) upfront. You still have to pay a lump sum at the end of the hire agreement to keep the bike but friends at my work have said this was never asked for when theirs finished. Plus Halfords...

Have you been to the Milton Keynes Bowl before? I've heard that the sound can be a bit crap when it gets windy which is a bit worrying.... Can't wait to see PJ though.

Yeah its a bit flatter in Coventry than down there! Still a few decent climbs about though which I've managed to struggle up! I only really ride fixed/single speed for ease of maintenance and fitness, not any kind of fashion statement. (not cool enough for that)
