Coppells done a great job and the Chairmans put his money where his mouth is. If they can do a Wigan and put a few noses out of joint in the Prem, good luck to 'em. Perhaps some of the plastic Chelski fans in that part of the world might just stay in reading and support their local side now.
The internet wasn't even thought of when I got mine, so I never got the chance to tell a bunch of internet nerds all about it. :(
Did I mention that I got some petrol coupons in 1973? Any other pointless crap you'd like to know about me?
I can't comment on the QPR game as I wasn't there, but the Luton game they more than matched them for commitment and effort (coudn't really judge skill on that pitch). We put a a bloody good fight against a very good footballing side. To knock the players after that game would be very unfair.
Lots of my mates have been Palace fans over the years. I used to live in East Grinstead during the proper rivalry years of the 70s and 80s. There was a good mix from both clubs in tose days and plenty of friendly rivalry, all good fun!
I'd happily buy you a pint and teach you the error of your...
Someone please explain. If MM has been unable to keep us up with by far the lowest budget in the Championship, why does this mean he won't be able to do a decent job in league one where money won't be such a big issue? I think he could do as good a job as anyone else at that level so why not...
That's why I don't comment on games I haven't been to. Anyone who wasn't at yesterdays game couldn't possibly appreciate the appalling pitch conditions. There was never going to be a decent game on that pitch yesterday and it's really not fair to blame anyone for the result. We could have...
Good post, totally agree. The one differenc between staying up last year and relegation this year? The highly talented Adam Virgo. I'm convinced that if he was here we would be just a few places higher up the table. All we've been lacking is a couple of decent players, but if we can't afford...
God there's some bollocks in this thread! As far as yesterday is concerned, the result could easily gone either way in the atrocious conditions. Both sides had chances when they could have won it, the game was a complete lottery, especially in the second half. The only thing McGhee did that...
Well, I got that wrong then! 45 minutes on the phone to buy a ticket so I could do a 100 mile round trip (drenched all the way home) and see us pretty much certainties to go down. That was fun!
From where I was today in E block, it seemed that the new east stand was by far the loudest, several chants seemed to start from there. Well done chaps. Bloody quiet in E block though, couldn't even hear Ernest rattling his gold tops. What a bunch of whingers, shan't sit there again if I can...
