Apologies if always mentioned, but does anyone know what the average net profit we make from staging a league home game is?

I agree about this being relatively insignificant in the great scheme of the Covid pandemic. But equally many of those suffering and losing jobs are also regular match-attending football fans, who perhaps need a little boost and normality that is watching their team each week.

But many of us watch pretty much every Brighton game by having a season ticket, travelling away, some on TV and missing a few each season. For some people they have done this for years and years, and suddenly not watching them isn't really what's going to happen - they're going to pay this...
I can't imagine I'm bringing anything new to the debate but £15 for less than 2 hours on TV, at home, is awful value. Yes a ticket is £40 but the experience you get is completely incomparable.
As an STH who goes to about half the away games each season, I would be looking at about £300 to see...
Haven't trawled through 11 pages but has anyone mentioned kids programs yet?
BBC ones teach about maths, literacy, history, geography, science. Deal with emotional development. Teach kids fantastic moral lessons.
Other channels are basically glorified toy adverts, interspersed with actual toy...
From an Irish perspective I've said this from day one. Especially in light of how we played in the two recent nations league games, we need Duffy to have the two games of his life next month if we're going to the Euros.
His preparation for those games will have been Ross County, St Mirren...

Speeding in general does my head in. I used to drive like an idiot in my early 20s, but nowadays I genuinely don't even like being above 70 on a busy motorway.
What annoys me is how it is still deemed as socially acceptable by many. I have colleagues who laugh and joke about how fast they drive...
Yes they do. My dad has a season ticket but currently lives in Ireland and therefore doesn't make many matches. The club wrote to him cancelling it with immediate effect towards the end of last season.
Never heard of the bloke (or the mentioned Palace account), but just looked at his twitter now. Like the fact that he tweets a bit about politics, and doesn't stick to the usual Sky Sports News "lack of personality" mandate.
Didn't know the bilingual school did that, that's good for a primary school. Anyway I don't disagree that people should be using public transport or walking/cycling to get to school - was just pointing to that not everyone goes to their nearest school and there are reasons why. There are enough...
