In my opinion both F1 and royal honours are a pile of shite. However within those parameters, it would be ridiculous if he wasn't when you compare him to other people who've been knighted, both in sports and elsewhere.
What does my head in is when I'm driving in the countryside and sticking to 30/40mph through villages with limits, and someone gets right up behind me. On the way out of the village, but before the limit goes back up to 60, they overtake. 30 seconds later I am stuck behind them as they do 50mph...
Apologies if this point has already been made, but the clubs in the initial post all have town-centre stadiums (maybe Millwall a little more out of the way but plenty of residential areas around it). They've opened up their hospitality areas effectively as pubs to rival the ones over the road...
Not at all, I live here and obviously most my friends follow England so it's a nice little boast. I'm sure they'd say the same if it was the other way around.
Not a popular one with Irish fans. If we lose that, we're likely to drop into the third seeding for the World Cup qualifiers (currently somehow still holding onto pot 2), although we can rescue this with wins against Wales/Bulgaria.
On a personal level it looks likely that I will no longer be...
Bad management. Duffy effectively shipped out by the Albion as he can't play an expansive role in a back 3. Neil Lennon signs him and switches Celtic's system to a back 3.

Presumably it would be for a one-year deal to start off with, and I'm sure the club wouldn't be chucking money at him that we don't have. So why not? Seems like a good bloke so wouldn't upset the dressing room, probably got a few things to teach some of our younger players, and if we get some...
Another interesting element to this was that the false positive test was processed by a lab in Slovakia. Obviously I'm not suggesting anything untoward but I could see incidents like this ahead of big European or international games causing some arguments.
Indeed - although that's just rumours. The whole thing is typical FAI. When you think that we dominated the game and were only missing a goalscorer.
Good article here...
Apparently it was a "non-essential" member of the travel party, and Connolly and Idah were accidentally sat within 2m on the plane, despite a seating plan being produced to ensure this wouldn't be the case. A complete balls up by someone.
According to reports in Ireland today, under UK rules Connolly would not need to isolate, but the squad were operating under more strict Irish rules.
So he should be able to play for us next week no probs.
Apologies if fixtures.

Assuming the club gets £10 out of the £15, then 100k subscribers for each game on average would match the matchday income.
I generally have no idea about viewing numbers for football matches. Obviously our home game Vs Burnley and the like will come nowhere near that, but is there a chance that...
Sounds about right. 30,000 tickets, average price £30. Merchandise and food takings to be added on, although matchday staff wages to be deducted.
Although let's be clear, over a whole season that equates to the cost of signing Locadia or Jahanbakhsh.

But this goes back to the argument about what fans are to clubs, and the wider role they play in society.
The majority of people in this country are taking some sort of financial hit, now and probably in the future as well. It's well documented that matchday income for PL clubs is a small...
