[Misc] Items that made you think "GAME CHANGER"

Can't be arsed to trawl through the whole thread to see if this has been said before, but those ball throwing things that dog walkers use. Sheer GENIUS and such a simple idea.

[Technology] Anyone got a hybrid car ?

Yes to all of those questions. I reckon in 5 years most new cars will be hybrid/electric. I bought my car for £10k with 60,000 miles on the clock. It has heated leather seats, DVD/HDD player, DAB radio, preheat function (which is AMAZING in Winter), reverse parking camera, parking sensors and is...

[Technology] Anyone got a hybrid car ?

Obviously depends on your tariff/supplier but for me it works out roughly £1 for a full charge which gives me 30-50 miles depending on weather conditions/driving style

[Drinking] Fasten Sealtbelts sign on on a plane - and you really REALLY have to go...

Fair point! I guess I was thinking more of having to fly with food poisoning or the like and being constantly in and out of the toilet. Thankfully I've never experienced turbulence quite that bad before!

[Technology] Anyone got a hybrid car ?

Very similar to my experience of PHEVs. I'm saving my pennies for a Tesla, might be able to afford one in the next century. :)

What is the actual chance of dying though due to having a shit while the plane is taking off?

[Drinking] Fasten Sealtbelts sign on on a plane - and you really REALLY have to go...

I've always wondered this. Say for example you had an attack of the explosive rusty water, would they rather you shat yourself than using the toilet?

[Technology] Anyone got a hybrid car ?

Yeah I think you are right. I got mine second hand for a really good price. Obviously there is risk attached due to them being discontinued but currently my nearest Vauxhall dealership still supports it for servicing etc. Nicest car I've ever driven.

[Technology] Anyone got a hybrid car ?

I drive a plug in hybrid. Gets about 30-50 miles on pure electric before switching over to petrol. I absolutely love it, rarely use petrol except on long journeys and even then get about 60-70MPG depending on how heavy my right foot is. Sadly they no longer make the car I own (Vauxhall Ampera)...

[Misc] Hastings pier wins major RIBA architecture prize.

I've visited it several times while staying with my parents and I love it. Nice little cafe/restaurant that does an excellent fish and chips with some decent ales on tap. The museum/gift shop building is nice too and a good way to spend 5-10 minutes learning about the history of the...

[Football] What position do you play?

Right back but used to get shoved in at left back constantly for my Sunday team (despite having nothing even resembling a left foot)

    [Albion] Bong

Murray/Dunk/Duffy/Izquierdo will obviously get most of the praise tonight but thought Gaetan Bong was excellent. Looked comfortable on the ball, couple of good runs forward and coped with Antonio really well. Great to have two quality left backs competing for a first team slot

[TV] Liar (TV Programmme) - spoiler

I agree on not revealing who the liar was. It's a bit like those horror films where the tension/fear is brilliant until the monster is unveiled and then the whole thing becomes a bit 'meh'

    [Football] Long awaited returns

This is true, but I can see it working away from home perhaps, when we are looking to stretch teams on the break. Knocky and March are more than capable of coming inside and looking for a pass/shot instead of a cross as well

    [Football] Long awaited returns

Would like to see Baldock playing in front of Gross. I reckon his intelligent runs combined with Gross's creativity could get us a few goals

    [Music] The Most Complete Album

Nice list but I think I'd have gone for Regular Urban Survivors as my Terrorvision album. Could be rose tinted specs though as it was the first CD I ever bought!

    [Music] The Most Complete Album

Nine Inch Nails- The Downward Spiral. A masterpiece concept album from start to finish Nirvana- In Utero. Can't think of a single 'filler' on this album. Full of excellent tracks Manic Street Preachers- Everything must Go. Absolute classic album
