I live in Coventry and commute to Euston 3-4 days a week. It costs me £9000 per year for a yearly season ticket with no Tube travelcard. £9000 a year for an hour journey each way is pretty horrific but still saves me money compared to living in London.
No way could I hack it 5 days a week though
Think that was a different occasion. He just went up for a corner in that vid. He actually swapped to an outfield shirt and was replaced by a sub keeper in the one TLO is talking about
I was really impressed with him today. Looked our best attacking outlet and was much less one footed than Izquierdo. Was surprised he was subbed. Personally I would have swapped March for Gross and moved Brown to the no. 10 role
Is it just me who has noticed this annoying phenomenon of people using the plural 'women' to mean the singular 'woman'? Seems to crop up on social media all the time and have noticed it on here a few times. Example sentence from Facebook today: "Happy birthday to my Mum, she has gone through so...
Looks like I was thinking of the Carling Cup in 2011 where Liverpool beat us 2-1.
This was the lineup that day
Ankergren
Calderon
Cook
Greer
Vincelot
Noone
Navarro
Sparrow
Buckley
Mackail-Smith
Subs:
Brezovan
Dunk
Taricco
Kasim
Vicente
LuaLua
Barnes
I could have sworn Vincelot played left back in this game as I remember being really impressed by him. Unless I'm thinking of another cup game vs Prem opponents, Newcastle perhaps?
Very few teams score regularly from corners in the top flight. I remember hearing a coach/manager talking about attacking/defending corners once (can't remember who) who basically said that the only way you score from a corner is if the defending team make a mistake. Teams in the Prem are...
I think it's a confidence thing. Last season he seemed to go down the outside of players much more often. I do worry about having both wingers drifting inside- our full backs aren't able to get forward to provide width as often as in the Championship. With someone of Murray's heading ability we...
To be fair to Brown, he won a decent number of balls in the air when he came on, which is more than could be said for Murray/Gross in the rest of the game. (Not trying to knock either of them you understand)
Trying to rise above the sniping- the problem with putting this XI together is that the majority of our team is based around the strength and understanding between pairs of players who wouldn't be as good individually: Dunk/Duffy, Stephens/Propper, Bruno/Knocky, even Bong/Izquierdo. Stick Dunk...
The bottom line for me is that if someone is doing something that doesn't hurt others, break any laws and makes them feel happier then why shouldn't they do it? No skin off my nose
The only grey area I can seee comes with children who decide they are in the 'wrong' body. Are they old enough to...
To be fair to him, the bit of skill prior to his terrible cross was sublime. I'd like to see him replace Bruno rather than Knockaert though, at least from the bench, as Bruno looked knackered towards the end of the Stoke game
Put it this way- if it had happened anywhere else on the pitch it would have been given as a free kick. Shouldn't be viewed any differently by the ref just because it's in the area- a foul is a foul.
Totally agree. Bar a couple of mis-cued long range passes, Stephens was excellent IMO. Propper spent the game flitting from the sublime to the ridiculous. Some brilliant touches and turns, plus that run for the Gross goal, but also gave away possession on several occasions with some awful short...
