Would a programme from this game signed by Mark Lawrenson and Teddy Maybank be worth anything? I have 2 copies and might be persuaded to sell/ebay one of them.
Sorry, I suppose I should have known I'd get shot down in flames if I generalised! There were a hell of a lot of people that though MA was gonna take the club to another level as well as those of you that had doubts, that better!!! Hindsight tells all of us tha maybe we should have stuck with...
Funny that no-one thought DK was doing the wrong thing at the time. Everyone expected even better things with MA, fans and chairman alike. DK was obviously doing what he thought was the right thing for the club at the time. Appointing a new manager is always a gamble, this time it didn't pay...
I really hope they show that 3-3, would love to see it again. I've still got two programmes signed by Teddy Maybank and Mark Lawrensen from that game, both were out injured at the time.
I'd rather have a genuine fan with passion who really cares about the club as chairman. The fact that this club has a future to look forward to at all is down to DK. If you look at the history of the club, we've done no worse during his tenure as chairman than for most of the past century, and...
I record it on my Freeview+ thingy and then watch it at whatever time suits me. I like to have the option of skipping through all the analysis and pundits talking crap!
I have used hot tap water for years with no problem, it's far better than any de-icer. I wouldn't recommend boiling water from a kettle though, that might be pushing your luck a bit too far.
After the same fiasco with the Gills game last year, this is the reason I won't attend games when the weather is likely to be cold. I have to travel from Kent to get to games and would have probably left home having checked the game was still on before 12. Refs must do better.
That's very unfair. The first post is very accurate and reflects the real position of the club. It's the way it's been for the best part of a century apart from about 4 seasons and prob the way it always will be unless the fanbase dramaticaly increases for some reason. There's nothing wrong with...
If what Charlton did running coaches from Sussex got them fans who would otherwise have supported the likes of Chelsea and Man U, i don't have a problem with it. The Albion could have combated it with even cheaper tickets and subsidised travel to get kids to Withdean but prefers to keep prices...
It's all about greed and keeping the top clubs richer than the rest. I lost interest when it ceased to be a competition for Champions. Ulitimately it's the greed of the top prem clubs that forces us to pay ridiculous prices to watch 3rd division football. If it wasn't for the relentless greed of...
I'd rather we just had more of the football and did away with the pundits. I just watched the game, why the hell do I need to be told all about what I've just seen for myself. Just show me the f'ing games!
If I remember correctly the Liverpool 5th round tie was the first ever FA Cup game to be played on a Sunday. To get round Sunday trading laws admission was by team sheet rather than ticket. I don't think any league games had been played on a Sunday before then either.
Born in East Grinstead so technically Palace were the closest club. As far as I was concerned I was born in Sussex, so that meant that Albion! Thank the Lord I made the right choice!!
I have little interest in the top of the Premiership anymore, although I have to say that Man U do play some superb football and deserve to win it.
Sadly we already know which four teams will qualify for Europe at the end of next season and only two of them will stand a chance of actually...
Currently reading The 12th Card by Jeffrey Deaver, really enjoy his books. Whoever it was put Vulcan 607 earlier in the thread, cracking read, really liked that one.
I wonder what all the MK Dons fans were doing on a Saturday before the franchise moved in? If they were all following the plastic premiership on sky instead of following a league team live, could it be argued that the MK Dons have had a positive effect on football? I'll probably get slated for...
