An understandable mistake, it looks and sounds a bit like road. But in the same way as towns that have/end in 'ham' they are no longer hamlets or villages
So does this mean if someone is a woman we are not supposed to refer to them as a woman regardless of the adjective used. Equally for men as well, of course
