Haven't seen it mentioned, but the 3-0 home to Spurs is in there for me. Connolly at the double. I still think his second was a thing of beauty. First real smashing of one of the "Big Six" and the first real sign of the style of football that was to come under Potter and beyond.
Spurs were decent first half but no way should they have been three or four up according to some. Based on what? On another day a better ball sees Johnson score after 30 seconds, but equally on another day (actually, most days) Bart saves Maddison's shot. What else did they have apart from a...
We did Harrogate v Bromley for the first game of the season and like you I thought they were terrible. Somehow they're six points and several places above the drop zone though. Nice town. The bottom two teams, Morecombe and Accrington, are both on my list to do so maybe I'll hold off for now.
Doing Fleetwood v Bromley on Saturday to take me to 74. Aiming to do a few more Bromley away this season at new grounds for me as long as no Brighton clash. Should get me into the 80s then it'll be picking off the remainder when possible.
Some of the sums quoted were crazy so my wife and her brother have been doing it themselves. Needs a bit of patience and research and a lot of forms to fill in, but seems to be getting there.
Ok, bear with me in case I haven't got this quite right. We notified Premium Bonds of my father-in-law's death and were told that the numbers can be kept in his name for up to another year. My wife is currently sorting transfer of probate for various assets so this £10k win is being "held" by...
Was about to say the same. There's always a faster car and changing lanes at 115mph when something's coming up behind you at 130mph is a buttock-clencher.
American Psycho. Just got more and more disturbing and depraved with each "murder", and I just couldn't be bothered to continue. I like a bit of horror and gore, but this seemed gratuitous. Eventually watched the film years later and really enjoyed it.
My son sorted four tickets for the first night at Wembley. Yes it’s expensive compared to “back in the day”, but I’ve shared some great memories with him watching the Albion and this will be up there.
Ride were and still are a fantastic live band. Their most recent album is, in my opinion, the best of the three from their comeback. Taking my son to see them in a few weeks.
Haha, we go to a place in the Algarve every year (another North Stander with a well-known dad will know the town) where one of our go-to restaurants specialises in steak on the stone. I refuse to have it for that exact reason (and because I'm a cheapskate), but one of my sons has it every year...
Agreed. He was superb at RB last season. Seriously superb. A threat going forward, very good in defence and a fantastic engine. He was a huge miss in the second half of the season.
