[Misc] Do you believe the Earth is flat?

Exactly. With some of the conspiracy theories you can at least see a reason for why the governments/illuminati/lizard people are 'hiding the truth' but why on earth (excuse the pun) would they want us to believe that we are living on a globe rather than a flat disc?

[Travel] Does anyone on here own a Electric or Hybrid car?

There is currently a government grant which covers the majority of the cost for a home charger. Unfortunately I didn't qualify for one as I have a pathway between my drive and the house which gives access to neighbouring houses. I just use the charger supplied with the car plugged into a...

[Travel] Does anyone on here own a Electric or Hybrid car?

This article gives some good advice around leases etc, at least when buying a used vehicle https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/how-buy-used-ev

[Travel] Does anyone on here own a Electric or Hybrid car?

Depends on the manufacturer. I believe Renault charge a lease fee of c. £40 per month but in my car I own the battery (which has a 100k/8 year warranty with Vauxhall)

[Travel] Does anyone on here own a Electric or Hybrid car?

I have a 2012 Vauxhall Ampera which is basically a plug in hybrid with range extender (you can run pure electric but petrol generator kicks in once battery is depleted). I absolutely love it and don't think I would ever go back to a petrol/diesel car. If I were you I would think about holding...

[Albion] Stage set for Knocky to be the hero

I would love it to happen, but I think it is far more likely that he will run himself into the ground, make a needless lunging tackle resulting in a yellow card, dribble into dead ends while being marked out of the game and finally either throw his toys out of the pram when substituted or end up...

    [Misc] Driving Lessons

I didn't pass my test until I was 30, took me a fair few lessons (more than I would have taken if I were 17 I'm sure) but eventually it just 'clicked'. I would say just take your time and as long as you have a decent instructor they will be able to accurately judge when you are ready to take...

[Travel] Missing a train coz a connecting train went belly up

Usually if there are delays on your first train and you can get a ticket inspector to make a note of it on your tickets then you should be fine to get the next available train from Euston. However, as someone who travels on Virgin West coast mainline from Euston every day, Virgin can be absolute...

    [Music] The Live Music thread

Apparently £45 upwards but I've also signed up as a South Bank centre member to get access to presale which was £60. A bit pricey but myself and two mates will split this cost so could be worse (you can buy up to 4 tickets per member)

Will be desperately trying to get Nine Inch Nails tickets for their show at the South Bank Centre in June. I may well be disappointed as it is their only UK date and in a 2,500 seater venue. Fingers crossed
