Fair point, I was thinking more of indirect free kicks and corners.
To be honest I'm struggling to remember a time where we had a free kick in a goalscoring position in the first place. Murray was excellent at winning those kind of free kicks.
Someone close to me is suffering from severe alcoholism- it is destroying their life, relationships, finances etc.
They have reached out for help to their GP, local alcohol support group (CGL) but no one seems able or willing to help (possibly COVID is having an impact here too)
Any...
Just a head's up for anyone who has an Amex card- was checking my offers this morning and there is one for the online club shop- spend £70 or more and get £10 back. Not a bad discount
I think tactically GP nearly got that spot on.
White did really well to nullify Kane who drops very deep at times.
Sanchez didn't put a foot wrong
Lallana had some very good spells
Gross put in some good crosses
Only criticism was bringing Welbeck on for Trossard 10-15 minutes too late IMO
If we had signed him for £15 mil from Boca Juniors and his name was Solly Marcini then I reckon he would get a lot more credit than he currently does. For some reason being a local lad bought from a non league team means some fans will consistently underrate his contribution to the team. Is he a...
Pretty sure we played with a flat back 4 for the second half today and looked much less threatening. Once Veltman came on, Webster went over to left back with Solly pushing forward into midfield.
OK so he wasn't on for that long but he seemed to me to be playing deeper than usual, even dropping between the two centre halves on occasion to receive the ball. With his passing ability and the greater competition for the number 10 role, could this be where we see him play this season? I think...
Always felt Bridcutt (and Buckley on his day) had the potential to be decent Prem players. I guess the problem for Liam was that he was such a specialist in that holding role that you couldn't really play him as part of a central pair so he needed to be at another side that played the tiki taka...
Very excited about next season. I think he will have learned immensely from this season; both in terms of the squad and the league itself. With a couple of signings in the summer I can see us maybe aiming slightly higher than avoiding relegation
I think that is a little harsh. If he was prepared to go full Winston Bogarde and sit around scratching his arse while collecting his payslip then I somewhat doubt he would have agreed to go on loan to Southend, Wycombe and Coventry.
