How do banning orders even work? Assuming this is all true, are we really expected to believe that if the original poster turns up at Middlesborough on Saturday, that they would really know not to sell him a ticket?? Surely all that can reasonably be done is for Brighton to refuse to sell him a...
I've been to the ground a few times, and it's like an ice rink round there with only the lightest rain. I remember one subway/tunnel in particular where I fell over about 4 times. It's also really cold in Middlesborough all the time.
As for drinking, there's a lovely pub called Doctor Browns...
I booked about 6 weeks ago - got a promotional offer from First Transpennine. Had to go out on the 6:50am though, but i'm sure there's enough to do in Middlesborough from 8:30am onwards...
I know for a FACT that Rickie Lambert at Southampton is paid £6k a week plus a £1k per goal bonus. When Leeds tried to sign him last year, they refused to match his wages. When Lambert didn't drop his demands, Ken Bates published his salary details in the match programme the following week.
I'm playing as the Man Utd manager to get used to the game, and just noticed that Brighton got relegated after the first season. Poyet got the boot soon after, and look who got the job...
Finished the demo in second place behind West Ham. By far the best player was Vicente - 11 goals, 16 assists. However, he's very injury prone, and often drops in fitness halfway through a game. Jeffrey Schlupp was an inspired buy - 14 goals and an 8.7 average rating.
I signed Andros Townsend and Danny Rose on loan from Spurs, and bought Drury from Norwich (£200k), Speroni from Palace (£500k) and Schlupp from Leicester (£1.25m). Rejected a £1.8m bid from Newcastle for Gordon Greer, but did sell Dicker to West Ham for £800k.
Currently, am second behind West...
Does anyone know if there's going to be a sticker album for the Premier League this year? My son loved collecting the Merlin / Topps Direct one last year, but there's no sign of a 2011/12 one in the shops....
There's an article & mini-interview with Gus in the sunday paper today, in which he talks entirely about Chelsea, and their chances of overtaking Barcelona. This is the third or fourth such interview recently in which he's given his views on the Chelsea team, their new manager, John Terry's role...
it's all turning nasty up here. Problem is, once it kicks off in Leeds, you get the Bradford neo-nazis using it as an excuse to kick off against the ethnic minorities.
Might stay in tomorrow. Either that or see if I can get a new telly...
I asked the club about the general sale yesterday, and the lady I spoke to said the 'main sale' would be on Friday (29th), once they knew Doncaster's requirements....
Betfair do some under the 'Specials' market. Tend to be more along the lines of "Will Drogba still be a Chelsea player on Sept 1st" though.
By the way, they also have Poyet as 190/1 to be the next Chelsea manager....
This will be my first home game since 10th December 1999, when we lost to Rochdale 4-3 in torrential rain. I vowed on that night that I wold never set foot in the Withdean again, but have weakened as it is one of our last games to be played there....
