Feeling a bit lazy today(today!) and haven’t read the whole thread.
However, I think getting any punishment to stick would be difficult and a a gift to the legal profession.
It should be a time to tighten rules and regs about such things so that this money grabbing nonsense does not happen...
My latest thoughts on this are that it will be brilliant when the top six franchises are moved to Fenway Park, Miami, San Francisco,Shanghai, Mumbai, and Ouagadougou.
I think the best option would be to throw these clubs out of all of their domestic competitions at every level. Ban any players for them from playing in national teams.
It could be a win for the remaining clubs, hope for smaller teams. Think of all those Liverpool fans clamouring to support...
Don’t watch many, and certainly not these empty stadium games.
If it was taken back to the European Cup, with league winners only on an unseeded knockout basis I’d have more interest and managers would lose the fixture congestion whinge.
This is about replacing the “champions” league with an elite group of teams who will largely remain the same season after season after season. It will be like American sports. Same fixtures pretty much every season, with, no doubt, the possibility of “franchises” switching cities.

Signalling our intent by agreeing to massive wages could be the yellow brick road to ruin. Every new signing would want more.Wages in football are not elastic downwards. (Unless fire and rehire applies to the EPL?).
Copacabana for me. It was full of slender good looking ladies and lots of blokes tripping over their tongues, and some cad stole my shirt whilst I was sunbathing.
Accept that scrapping it could lead to “goal hanging “, but think teams would soon work it out. So without great conviction gone scrap it. Could at least give it a try somewhere in the pyramid to see how it goes.
