I think it would be a great idea to try Lynch in midfield but would have thought the sole reason to do that would be to get El-Abd out of the side and nearer a loan move to Lewes or Bognor.
I am just finishing a Masters in Computer Science at Bath Uni.
Have developed mostly software skills.
Can anyone recommend areas of IT that they know or believe to be rewarding/interesting, or any companies they know are good to work for?
Great call, I mentioned this in a thread earlier in the week after the Cardiff match. Think Lynch's composure on the ball and good distribution coupled with his strength would be a great asset in the middle of the park.
He could move into midfield much like Mark Lawrenson did for a bit.
Completley disagree with that, looking like you a thug doesn't actually make you one. Cullip backed it up by constantly winning 50/50's being a half decent footballer and inspiring confidence is other players. El-Abd doesn't really have much of a presense on the pitch

I think El-Abd is useless, but to be fair to him it was never a foul, it happened right in front of the Cardiff fans and not a single one of them appealed for a foul
Having watched the Albion put in a respectable performance against Cardiff last night, it showed we are not too far off being a decent side. It did show however what most people have been predicting, our midfield is a disaster zone.
Thought Fraser did ok and showed reasonable technique but he...
Although I agree that Lynch is a better player at center half, we looked far better as a team when he was on the pitch than in the second half when Rents was playing.
I would say the first half was pretty even with both sides having a few half chances, however in the second half we were...

The 19-year-old has yet to appear in David Moyes's first team since arriving at the club in 2004...
I knew Thornton was a bit of a nutcase, but didn't know about Boyd. Either way I think its worth a gamble on that type of player, as to be honest don't think El-Abd is a model pro and I think we all know we would rather see lining up in central mid against Crewe.
Might be fixtures.
However was looking in one of the free london papers yesterday and it listed the comings and goings at Orient this summer.
Amongst their signings were Adam Boyd from Luton and Sean Thornton from Doncaster. Two signings that I would have thought would have ideal for us, both...
