I was astonished by Starmer's opening remarks at the dispatch box yesterday when (in the then absence of the Trussterfuck) he said "the lady's not for turning...." then paused, wearing a smirk. And I waited for him to finish the sentence with "UP". But nope. He just left it hanging.

I think @junior makes a salient point. Johnson systematically shredded the cabinet of anyone with any experience, gravitas and gumption in favour of a bunch of nodding dog nonentities who would never, at any point, be any real threat to him. Sunak was probably the only vaguely competent one who...
Enjoyed that (apart from a scouse win, obvs). Cracking game. City's goal rightly disallowed, both managers acting like a couple of immature dickheads.
Very entertaining.

But I've been reading the coverage today in the print press, and guess what - not a SINGLE mention of the accusers name.
'Janet Potter, the deputy chief crown prosecutor for CPS...
Fair enough, I didn't know of her. But I've seen many cases whereby an 'ordinary' mans life (ie not a famous footballer or celebrity) has been ruined before he's been convicted of anything, thats what I was referring to.
I watched NOPE tonight.
Kind of an odd movie, hard to categorise but essentially an alien sci-fi slow burner. Really hard to figure which direction it was going, but its well acted, nicely shot, with a good score and very well put together. I liked the characters, and while its not a...
