I quite agree both the Manchester and both the Liverpool grounds are a pain in the butt to get to and from and no fun once there. I was just objecting to your OP that only football tourists and JCLs went to these games for the kudos and the photos. :)
Don't need to catch the tram to walk around, just walk in one of the entrances off the road. Once we got to the queue took about 20 mins to board. We were back in a pub in the Printworks near Picadilly Gardens approx 5:45 - 6pm
We arrived by tram and had to walk thru the fanzone and club shop area and outside entertainment halfway round the ground to get to the away turnstiles. Repeat in reverse to get out. (much the same as the Amex for visiting fans arriving by train)
Don't know of any grounds that let you inside to...
I dont' go to 'tick off a ground' or to take pictures, I don't care what the facilities are like (no worse at Anfield than Stockport on a cold Tuesday night in the middle of winter)
I simply go to support my team. which is unconditional.
I am informed by a Bury supporting relative that:
a) No season tickets were sold for the season (Not sure on this, there was a three ticket sale for the beginning of the season).
b) The club has not closed down.
c) One of the problems that caused this crisis was the previous owners mortgaging...
As it happens I do. Bury IS for now still a professional football club and is also a local team for those that live in or come from that area. My son-in-law is one that goes regularly and is devastated. They will reform in some league, whether they will remain professional or not is to be...
If you have to ask that question then you really don't understand local football clubs and their supporters and what it brings to, and is to the community.
Train and match tickets purchased today. Travelling from Leeds a doddle, can even get home. Hope those that are staying over have a good night in Newcastle.
The little ones are illegal to use on the road in the UK. Difficult to insure items to be used illegally.
The larger ones that look like motorised scooters are treated as electric bikes - No driving licence required, no tax, no M.O.T, do not need to register with DVLA

Not sure why you have picked on 500 miles. How many people drive regularly say from Brighton to Glasgow without stopping for a half hour break. For the vast vast vast majority of people 300 miles is ample.
So long as you can get a quick charge either part way or at your destination super long...
Well let's not bother then. We are all doomed. Doomed I say
I remember a time when there were only Ever Ready batteries. Now we have Duracell. Technology moves on apace. :)
