Out of interest, how was it with SASTA today ? My blood ran cold when the big screens put that message up about there being delays westbound due to a trespassing incident, or somesuch. Thankfully I was on a SAGA bingo bus Seagulls Express jobbie again, so didn't have to worry. Was there much of...
Having had a brief perusal of the Chelsea messageboard, its happening already. Lots of comments about "getting away with it" for the last few games, lots of grumbles about players being played out of position, and the Sterling / Chalobah wingback selection is driving them CRACKERS.
Fair to say...
Solly had him on toast time and time again, but he got absolutely ZERO help from Sterling at LWB during that first half in particular. I was surprised Potter didn't do something about it.
I appreciate he's not a total moron, he owns his own bookshop doesn't he ?
I wouldn't want to be within 50 yard of the bloke though. Comes across as an utter bell.
Its something of a relief we don't have the equivalent of this walking freakshow as a "celebrity fan" of BHA. Imagine being lumbered with this berk within close proximity of your seat at the ground. You're not even allowed to take in deodorant.
I'm halfway through a couple of 1664's, but with a bottle of Mavrodaphne red wine waiting patiently in the cupboard for a bit later. Once the doris has got her soap out of the way, I'm aiming to catch up on Welcome to Wrexham.
Great post chap. And another example of why NSC can, on occasion, showcase some of the most thoughtful and cerebral commentary on events you will read anywhere. I agree with every word - except for the fact that I will be too weak to resist watching the damn thing.
Anyway. You can say f*** on...
Well....BAE Systems have sold Saudi Arabia circa £15bn worth of arms over the last 5 years while they bomb the f*** out of Yemen. That would presumably rule England and Wales out.
And having failed to qualify, I don't really see why Ukraine should receive (or want) a free pass to the World...
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And your new wife has only just moved in, and so far, despite 5 of 6 opportunities, you've not yet had the satisfaction of a shag. Its still early days, and not yet entirely clear if its all going to work out as well as it had been with your ex. Then...
But what if shortly after the breakup, your ex-wife had come back and nicked most of the furniture, the TV, the carpets, the fridge, the cooker, your favourite jacket, the taps, the cat, and all the food in the cupboards. Then at the party, she comes over, snatches the Prosecco from your wifes...
In the days before smartphones were commonplace, I used to have a pager on my belt with a little LCD dot matrix screen. I set it to goal updates and it would do a little buzz, then scroll the scoreline across the screen. I thought it was CUTTING EDGE at the time :lolol:
My favourite bit of late is when the HEALTH MINISTER advocated dishing out her own prescription drugs to friends and family. Or when the Home Secretary used her Government email account to forward classified Government documents to her personal Gmail account, to then forward on to her own...
Everything is an acquired taste. But with GoT, I can't remember a series where they enriched every character so lavishly. Whether they be fair or foul, you truly got to see every side of them, which made you invest in them, and in some way care about them whether for the good or the bad. Some...
I agree, it wasn't seamless. The first half of the series, King Viserys and his brother Daemon were seemingly not THAT far apart in age. Yet in the second half of the series, Viserys seemed to have aged in dog years compared with his swashbuckling brother. By E8 he was a walking corpse. But in...
Well I guess being as this thread died on its arse, not many of you folks bothered with it (unless I've missed some other big hread on it).
Anyway, I finished Season 1 tonight, and although it sags in places, overall I enjoyed it. Its no GoT, but if you can put that aside then there's plenty to...
