Out, or at least a reassessment of duties. Now is a time for wholesale changes at recruitment and managerial level. Barber has done fine on the commercial side, but on the pitch it hasn't worked. If we can avoid relegation this season whilst changing the set up, hopefully we can push on next season
CMS is back at the end of Dec, but I suspect he'll be off in Jan on a permanent deal, if someone makes an offer for him. Lovely bloke, runs about a lot, etc etc, but it hasn't worked out here. Take whatever we can, and accept our losses. COG won't come back, I'm sure of that
This is one for the the dates stats, but other than Stockdale, Toko and possibly COG. Did Hyppia have time to run the rule over Holla and Colunga, and even possibly Baldock. We were reportedly after him for a while, is it possible that this goes back to before Hyppia was taken on
It was in the a Argus this week that Stephens was now working outdoors with the physios, without pain, and that the next step was practice matches and the dev squad. As for Agustein, shocking waste of talent and dosh
The club signed a bunch of players without fully knowing who the manager would be, and thus also what style we would migrate to. The players can't adjust... Saying that, I still don't believe Hyppia can turn it around, regardless of who we sign in January. It will be a right royal f u c k up if...
To the OP(ive not read the other 4 pages)
This still doesn't explain why, after a number of below par performances, he's still intent on picking JFC and Gardener in the middle of midfield and both(yes both!!) Ince and Holla on the bench
It's a bit of a broken record, but I suspect FFP has a lot to do with the longevity that Hyppia is being afforded. However, he is NOT the right manager to get us out of this mess, and I think TB is just going to have to take this one on the chin and accept he got this one wrong
If they put Jones in charge for the remainder of the season then we may as well throw in the towel now. Wolves failed when they put Connor in charge after firing McCarthy, and this would be no different
As has already been mentioned here, Pulis is waiting for and will probably get the next Premier Lge job that comes up - Leicester I reckon. For me, I think it could be Hughton. Not sure he'd by MY first choice, but he ticks quite a few of the boxes, one of those being "affordable"
We're easy to play against, and have been for a while. We have the squad to stay up, and compete higher up the table but the wrong players are being picked week in, week out. Yesterday, March, JFC, Tex, Gardner and Bennett were our midfield, who out of those 5 can win tackles, put their foot on...
Every team needs a spine, and currently ours doesn't. Greer, even with his faults, is a leader, but we need a Crofts/Stephens type in the middle of midfield as well, with Stockdale this forms our spine. JFC was shite again last night, as was Gardner, and these are supposed to be our central...
