They are limiting the amount of mistakes they make and also have better ball retention than us. We defend poorly at set pieces, losing concentration. They don't. An opening day win at Chelsea has given them the confidence to go to the bigger boys and show no fear. We are still playing the top...
I assume this is tongue in cheek....." We are about scoring goals "....thats one thing we are not about. In 17 PL games we have scored one goal or less. 10 blank games. 15 scored in 20 games ( most seasons around 40 is needed to stay up ) Failed to score in seven out of ten away games. Six games...
Adrian Durham on TalkSport has just said £30m.....THIRTY MILLION POUNDS!!!!!!.....I have only just stopped laughing from Stoneman's comments down under about the Aussies not being better than us!!!!!!....hang on....another belly laugh on the way.
He could get away with over-playing ( over-elaboration ) in the Championship and giving the ball away on a pretty regular basis. He is a ' luxury ' player. One who you tolerated at that level, because of his potential match winning ability. Not because of any tightness or discipline in his game...
Just what is a good away record?
Is seven points out of 24, failure to score in 5 of those 8 games and two wins against teams that will never play that poorly again, regarded as good going in the PL ( for a team of our status ) ?
I don't believe Huddersfield have better players than us and it hurt me yesterday to watch us fail to even trouble them. We got away with 2-0, which many seem to be overlooking. It should have been four or five.
I do get behind the team, vociferously. I have been to 14 out of 16 games this...
Ah...but there is.
Our early season has been built on strong discipline and organisation. Everyone knowing their job and sticking to it. Making it difficult for the opposition and earning a reputation for being difficult to beat. Very quickly and for whatever reason, all that has disappeared...
Thats when you have to dig that little bit deeper. Its what top sports people possess. That innate inner strength to keep going when all looks lost. You may not always recover the situation but once in a while you will and the boost that gives is inestimable. Even a late flurry and a goal gives...
Going to be a dilemma for CH,as they are both pretty important. Guess he will tweak against Chelsea, play as strong as poss in these two games and then make 11 changes for Palace in the Cup.
" We showed character in the second innings "....." We are still massively in this series "........Bloody hell....I've heard some garbage in my time but he has really let himself down with these comments. He needs to man up and admit how pathetic they have been. These comments are an insult to...
Just a thought......if everyone stayed to the bitter end, there would be complete chaos outside the ground. The station area would be gridlocked and no-one would be able to pass through and over to the Uni/A27 area and passage to the Bridge car park would be restricted. The trickle that starts...
Worst day of the year by a million miles.
No eager anticipation, no excitement. Just pure unadulterated dread. Ghastly atmosphere. Ugly attitude. Boorishness and immaturity in bucket loads. It simply brings out the worst in both sets of fans. Woke up with usual sinking feeling whenever we play...
Thats about it.
My least favourite game. Horrible, ugly atmosphere. You know exactly what is going to happen. No away points for them up to this point. First team to ever win a competitive game at the Amex. Getting their act together and right up for it.
I hate it with a passion. Just rather we...
