It's not always about the fee - it's more often about the wage and the contract length. If (guess) Le Fondre wants £20k/w and a three year deal, that would be a £3.1m commitment just in wages (before agent's fees). So often you can almost disregard the fee in cases like that.
By ensuring that no one else buys there way to the PL knowing the penalty is so punative. Prevent it happening in the future. Ps they may be "fined" a huge amount but I suspect like Europeans clubs who were recently punished, a large proportion will be suspended.
Exactly. No one wins. As someone said earlier, Dick is leveraging the fans loyalty as a stick to beat the club he feels has done him a wrong. Such a huge shame.
I've assumed he was released because Gus signed him on pretty decent money and the club believe that they can get an alternative for considerably lower wages. Last year our wage bull jumped massively. This year we're seeing that redressed I would think.
We went and ate and it was the least interesting thing in the whole trip. Touristy, fake and nothing left of what may have made it an attraction years ago. Apart from the wildlife. But you see that then leave is my advice.
I said of course. But what I wouldn't have done is pretend that my move back to Bournemouth was all about loyalty when clearly it was only about money. That's what's disingenuous.
And that's the reason I dumped my sky sports subscription. This tv money is completely distorting the game I love and turning most players into inaccessible hired hands who are complete knob heads.
I haven't missed it and used the cash I saved to go to more away games - and loved it. I urge you...
Of course. But don't go back to Bournemouth having played us to get a pay rise and position that as an act of loyalty, then piss off at the very next available opportunity for the cash. That's just disingenuous and treating fans like idiots.
I agree about Dyche. But this myth about a small budget gets on my nerves a bit. There budget was about the same as ours and no one ever said we had a small budget (apart from Gus and Oscar)
