I don’t think it’s sticking the knife in. But for me, festivals work best when they are a shared experience between artist and audience - which means playing and celebrating all the stuff people like and know, even if the artist would rather showcase their new stuff.

Ha! Yes, quite. And just for the avoidance of doubt, she wasn’t St Vincent, rather obviously and very sadly! Rather than being a Grammy award winning American singer-songwriter she was cabin crew with Virgin Atlantic but she just looked like her from what I saw of her set last night.
It’s ok but I reckon you need a band with / behind you to carry off these really big festival stages else it just looks like the lighting engineers are doing a dry run for the main act. It’s hard to create and project the energy needed to electrify a crowd that big just by yourself.

I was seeing a woman this time last year who is a dead ringer for her. Plus she was utter filth. I may have to call her and see what she's up to these days.
I took Mouldy’s post to mean the Tory candidate was beaten by Labour in so much as the Labour support lent their vote to the Lib Dems. Whether they do the same at a GE remains to be seen I guess.
(Plus of course a large slug of the Tory vote either stayed at home or also voted Lib Dem).
