[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Yes. She’s had extensive voice coaching to go ‘lower and slower.’ Like you say, just ****ing weird. There’s nothing wrong with admiring the values and political ideology of political leaders from a previous century; but to turn up to a tv debate effectively dressed exactly like them and trying...

I know what Liz would look good in; 1979

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Based on a poll in the Independent it seems Liz Truss does in fact have the ability to unite our country. A sample of Conservative voters, Labour voters and floating voters surveyed after the debate ALL put Truss in last place by a significant margin.

[Politics] The Official Match Day Thread - The TV Debate, 7.30

NewsNight quoted someone this evening as saying the tv debate was “like a circular firing squad where none of the participants have had weapons training.”

She does look like she’s popped down to Madame Tussaud’s and asked if she could borrow Margaret Thatchers outfit from circa 1987. Plus she seems to be trying to borrow her voice and delivery too

[Football] New Kits Thread - Season 22/23

Kind of my view. Will look good on a murky afternoon at Leicester, Newcastle or Everton. Certainly better than last seasons’ pale green.

    [Football] Nsc 1922-23....

If you look closely, there's a young Tom Hark, Preston Park in that picture (half in frame, bottom right) frittering away ha' a bawbie from his Saturday job at Jones the Butchers to watch Albion vs. Bristol Rovers.

[Football] New Kits Thread - Season 22/23

But it isn't strange at all. It is exactly as it should be. We should wear our regular kit for all games, home or away unless there is a colour-clash at an away fixture, in which case we simply wear the change strip. We didn't wear an 'away' kit at Liverpool or Manchester United last season as...

[Albion] Aaron Connolly - joining Hull permanently

Check your junk folder. (In anticipation of the vitriol headed my way now, it was just a joke, ok, ffs?)

[Football] New Kits Thread - Season 22/23

Was never a fan of hyper turq, to be honest. It looked too insipid and washed out for me, so in that regard this one ticks the boxes for something a bit more vibrant. Hyper Turq seemed to be a triumph of marketing over substance. Had it been called something like 'soft mint' (which is how a lot...

Good effort from Vaughan Storm on his away kit prediction :clap2: Now just need to see what the home kit will be.

[Humour] I had to drop a load under a bridge today

Waiting for Easy 10 to reprise his sorry saga of being gripped by the need to do some urgent unpacking whilst jogging round a local park :lolol:  I can't recall the exact details but I seem to recall some item or other of his clothing may have made the ultimate sacrifice

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

I saw her on the TV news the other day, leaving her house and turning left onto the pavement. A minder immediately stepped forward and had to shepherd her in the other direction to her waiting car as she grinned gormlessly at the cameras. Then after her leadership launch event in Westminster she...
