Sunderland away in about 1986 at Roker Park, there were about 50 in the away end (plus me and an elderly couple in the main stand), didn't see anyone else. I had travelled up on a Coach from London with a Sunderland fan from work...flippin long journey for a defeat, memory is starting to fade...
Hi everyone,
I haven't posted on here for years, for a variety of reasons, but just wanted to let you know that there is an idiot (Trinidad's number one) on another forum posting absolute cack about the Albion...
Very much so, I managed to time my stay in Edinburgh with a win in the Scottish Cup and a reasonable challenge on splitting the Auld Firm in the league, I was in Scotland from 97-00. Sadly the Lithuanians have gone about wrecking what used to be a very good football club, it saddens me to watch...
Think it probably did, he always gave his best, it would for me if I were a player plying my trade in a foreign country...to be fair, at the time they didn't need a massive range of flags, from memory the non-Scots were an Austrian, Angolan, a couple of French and Makel the Englishman.
Hearts used to do this, not sure if they still do, and had flags representing their players hanging at the corners of the ground. They moved the flags around on a regular basis, never really worked out why. It used to give me great pleasure to open the curtains in the morning, look across...
Likewise...my filters are generally, will this add to the discussion, is it likely to cause offence (intentional or unintentional) or will anyone read it and just think that I am a complete prat. Clearly a few posts have made it through, but generally because someone has posted something so...
If anyone is interested in philosophy then the book Sophie's World is a pretty good read, it sort of goes through the history of the subject, looking at the views and theories of the philosophers but in a modern-ish setting. Very clever, a good read anyway.
Agree totally with this. A bloke I knew took his own life a couple of years ago, he had been through some really difficult times and was very well supported by a wide range of friends. He seemed to have got his life back on track, had moved away from the area, but it didn't make the news any...
If you have something to say to me then do it in an open forum, I am old and bold enough to take it, you don't have to do so by PM...and less of the obscenities please, it just makes you look stupid.
Jesus that is a bit rich, do a comparison with Newhaven, Eastbourne and Hastings and you won't find much difference. Anyway, north of the Downs is where it is at...long live the people of the Weald!!!
At least the new flag, the blue and yellow version, looks better than the one at the top of the thread...red and blue together, not my favourite combination of colours, hardly the sort of thing you would want to see flying over the AMEX.
