I find it telling that now we are in the quarter finals of the FA Cup any suggestion that we have played a weakened team are met with denials - yet this board is full of posts declaring how much more important survival in the PL is than a cup run and that CH shouldn’t take any risk with our PL...
Why does having the opinion that the best environment for a child to grow up in is one with a loving male and female parent mean that you must be against all other scenarios?
I’m not against single parent families or same sex families.
Your post comes across as bigoted - i.e. as intolerant...
There is plenty of evidence to show the benefits to children of both male and female role models in a family.
I quoted earlier the experiences of children with either a single parent or same sex parents who suffered bullying from their peers.
What has any of that to do with the sexuality, or...
I really don’t see what sexuality has to do with the subject at all - I’ve only ever mentioned gender.
I have nothing at all against any individual, no matter what relationship they may or may not be in, fostering, adopting or conceiving children based on their gender.
I do believe though that...
Unlikely to affect his footballing career but may well affect his future prospects regarding coaching, managing and/or media work. Only time will tell.
My opinion as well and not really flawed at all. Comparing like with like as regards parental abilities and attributes I believe that children benefit more, (or if you like suffer less), from being brought up by a man and a woman.
If you want to put every individual through an assessment...
That’s the first opinion page by Littlejohn I’ve read in years and surprisingly I agreed with much of which he wrote!
My only criticism of the article is the lingering feeling I have that had the subject been a mixed gender couple who were paying a surrogate mother to bear a child for them...
Dead right - it’s not just a ban that is at stake - it’s his entire future career, whether that be coaching, managing or media work.
Why wouldn’t he do everything possible to clear his name - guilty or not.
The actual situation is the other way round, there are more children awaiting adoption than there are potential adopters - so what would you do if a same sex couple offered to adopt?
Is someone who believes that the ideal is for a child to be brought up by two parents of different genders homophobic? I don’t see what the sexuality of the parents has to do with it.
I am glad that you have not witnessed any bullying but to say it doesn’t occur is just burying your head in the sand.

Children from different families can also experience direct bullying. One in ten teachers...
This is where my concerns lie - it is not from the parents’, (whatever the gender), viewpoint but from the child’s. Children are cruel and pick on anything that is different about one of their peers - be that red hair, stutter, number of or gender of the parents.
Any adult who ‘abuses’ a child...
Works in Switzerland for both males and females - a referendum a few years back was something like 75% in favour.
Works in Israel - again for both males and females.
This - whilst there is a queue for STs I don’t understand the club’s thinking in offering a discount for us oldies. Better to use the money to encourage the younger fans I would have thought.
