Double entry book-keeping, although it could be tricky if they asked questions about its origins as this is a disputed area. Failing that, IFRS 12. Anything interesting really...

I could go on, but I don't want to come across as grumpy.
1. People who press the button at pedestrian crossings when it's already been pressed
2. Getting to a pedestrian crossing with people waiting at it and discovering that no-one has pressed the button
3. Number 2, followed by you pressing the button and realising that the "Wait" sign isn't working...
Add me to the Ivor Cutler fan club list.
A man had woollen eyes
He couldn't see very well
I knit them into a great big ball
And rolled them down the hill
Barabadabada
When he saw what I had done
He said where are my eyes
I gave him two new proper ones
So he could see alright...
Sounds pretty good to me. I do like going through the packages on offer. By the time you get to the bottom - the big ticket items - it's a bit like the prizes on The Gadget Show: meet the cast AND spend a day learning about animation AND get a bit of straw from the scarecrow in the film signed...
Some clothes shop gripes:
- Over-attentive assistants asking if you're "all right there"
- Over-hot changing rooms that make you feel sweaty as you're trying on stuff
- Feeling slightly ridiculous and self-conscious as you emerge from the changing room for the walk of shame to the mirror to...
Too much to list. Much too much. I'll give you five:
Teenage Fanclub - God Knows It's True
Trashcan Sinatras - Obscurity Knocks
Mogwai - New Paths To Helicon Pt. 2
The Delgados - Under Cover, Under Wraps
The Zephyrs (featuring Rachael Goswell) - Setting Sun
I had a shirt like that in 1987. I hate it when you go to some places in Europe and they make you wear pants-like trunks instead of shorts. It feels sleazy.
I backed a book about the C86 scene. So far, I've got three CDs out of it and will get a signed copy of the book when it comes out next year, with a credit to ME in it. Which seems a bit over the odds given the paltry sum I donated, but I'm not going to lie: I have never been credited in a book...
Good point Staly. I'm not sure I've ever listened to the other two tracks. Ditto Tramway b-sides. any good? Re Chesterfields: no, although I may try that one, high whoosh risk factor though ("Anyone fancy a cup of C[86]? Great, I'll put Kettle on." [should it be delivered in a Yorkshire accent...
It seems to me that it would have been nice if the people of Scotland had been able to make an informed choice - ie if it could have been established how things would work in an independent Scotland before the vote, rather than this unprovable position on both sides, with Yes and No making...
:tumble:
OK, am I the only one who is familiar with SARAH 19?? Admittedly, it's a terrible song. I've learned my lesson - contrived jokes around obscure, poor songs MAY fall a little flat....this isn't the first time I've made a C86 joke that was met with silence - the other time wasn't on this...
If I was listening to all Cure tracks on random shuffle, I would skip vast swathes of KMKMKM, a fair bit of The Top and just about everything after Disintegration. However, FIIL would send not just me but my whole family into spasms of joy - if I want catchy pop from The Cure, I don't go to...
